Teck Whye Concert Band was officially formed in 2003 after departing from a long illustrious history of a marching band tradition.
The band motto, Unique and Versatile, propels the band from the fields to the concert stage with an intrepid spirit for excellence in performance.
Under the direction of Mr. Tan Beng Wee, the concert band at its infancy, remarkably achieved a bronze medal in the 2005 Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Central Judging of Concert Bands.
The current membership stands at sixty, and together with the Teck Whye Alumni Band, we aspire to be the ultimate platform for character development of our students and aesthetic expression through music.

"MusicaBriosa, Symphonic metamorphosis" has come to an successful ending. Firstly, we must really thank the concert committee and Ms Mindy for putting in their precious time and effort in preparing this concert.
Secondly, lets thank our dearest and best conductor Mr. Colin Ng for putting in the time and patience in preparing the repertoire for this concert. I believe we would not have done it without him.
Lastly, our hard work and determination really show how well we did on stage. I hope we have really learn to be a more mature band. So lets work even harder for the future events and competition.
Those who are free on the the 27thdec, Thursday can volunteer yourself to come back and clean up the whole cd shelter. It would be open at 9.30am. Quarter mistress and librarians might want to come back to arrange your individuals cupboards. Wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Woohoo!! We got less than a day to our first independent concert "MUSICA BRIOSA, Symphonic metamorphosis". After all the intensive rehearsals and training, let's really prove ourselves to everyone out there that we can make a difference with our music. Although today's presentation to woodlands ring was not that encouraging, let's not be discouraged and present ourselves best on the actual day. Remember what Mr. Ng said, "Play your instrument like there is no tomorrow.."
Anyone who is free on Saturday can volunteer yourself to come down to cd shelter to help the concert committee or to do a final maintenance on your instruments.
Remember to report in half uniform at 1200 sharp outside cd shelter on Sunday. Any enquiries please check the time sheet given out. Other than that, please take care of yourself and have a good rest tomorrow..

Please try to sell as many tickets as you can, hopefully at least 8 tickets per person. You can either sell to your family, friends or your neighbours. All tickets are to be sold at normal price now, no more discount. We hope to sell at least 900 by the final rehersal on the 21st Dec. It is not about the money, but about the number of audiences that listen to our performance.
